About Us Dear Grain Toronto is an Everything Sourdough Bakery that specializes in artisanal products - sourdough bread, pastries & sandwiches. We're opening a new Dear Grain location in Roncesvalles and looking for a person with a great attitude, and strong work ethic to join our wonderful team. Willing to train the right candidate as well. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble sandwiches and pizza according to menu specifications Proof and bake sourdough croissants using recipe instructions. Bake cookies, scones, brownies etc. Glazing and garnishing baked goods, using recipe instructions. Slice, chop, and prepare ingredients for menu items Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies Prepare Daily Specials Practice food safety and sanitation standards Reports to Kitchen Leader Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in food preparation or sandwich making is preferred but not required Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes Minimum of 1 year of continuous employment in a high volume production kitchen/food business Minimum 1 year experience in Culinary education in a recognized College/University Possess basic cooking and knife handling skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken Pay & Schedule Pay: $18.50 to $19 per hour Full Time/Part Time Availability Schedule: 5 days a week Shift: 7:00AM to 3:00PM (During week days) & 6:30AM to 2:30PM (During week end) Location: Dear Grain Roncesvalles Who You Are A people person who has a passion for bread, pastry, making pizza dough and preparing sandwiches.
