Job summary
Position Title: F&B Manager – Happy Valley Day Lodge Reports to: Senior F&B Management Wage: $25.00-$26.00/Hourly Target Start Date: Wednesday, November 4th, 2026 Overview of Position: * This position is responsible for the management of four unique business units (Quick Service Café, Quick Service Burger Restaurant, Full Service Lounge, & Banquet/Events Program) within the Happy Valley Day Lodge. * Possess a strong ability to stay focused and organized and lead a group of 30-40 staff in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of hospitality and service standards. * Assist in Menu Creation, Scheduling, Payroll, Cash Management, Event Planning & Execution, Inventory Management and Ordering, and other administrative functions as assigned. * Is responsible for the safe and responsible service of alcohol at the venue at all times. Must always abide to all liquor laws and the Terms and Conditions of a food primary liquor license. * Provide training and support to all employees at the venue to achieve guest satisfaction. Teammates will include Server, Hosts, Bussers, Bartenders, Support Team, Event Staff & F&B Attendants. * Responsible for actioning building maintenance and attention to risk management in and around the Day Lodge. * Communicate with the Management team though writing in manager logs and also verbally on a daily basis. * Manage all aspects of employee success through one on ones and team coaching. * Maintains a high level of professionalism, and grooming at all times. * Participate in weekly Manager meetings, providing suggestions on how to improve guest experience. Experience and requirements: * Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment in a leadership role * Min 3yrs+ experience in full-service restaurant management * Min 2yrs+ experience in banquet/event management * High knowledge of Wine & Spirits (Level 2 WSET or equivalent) * Experience in managing/working with a large group of seasonal staff * High knowledge of computers and Toast systems (or other POS systems) * High level of diplomacy and proven problem-solving skill dealing with teams and guests * Experience in tips/gratuities an asset * Bartending and serving experience an asset * Must be 19 years old * Have a Serving it Right Certificate Duties and abilities include: * Possess a strong ability to stay focused and organized in a fast-paced environment. * Maintain a high level of attention to detail in written and verbal correspondence * Performs daily administrative duties relating to payroll, scheduling, event management, ordering, requisitions and team development. * Strong management of budgets and labour costing as well as food and beverage costing * Data entry duties for financial reporting or menu printing * Provide on the floor support to all employees to maintain guest satisfaction levels * Assist in monthly inventory counts * On the floor supervision of the outlet and events while on shift * Communicate with the senior management team * Strongly involved in the SWP& SJP training making sure that the staff are adhering to these standards. Working Conditions: * Able to work long hours and expected to work overtime in busy periods and holidays * Be on feet for extended periods of time * Able to Lift 50lbs and bend and push repeatedly * Hospitality training an asset Other Skills: * Exceptional attention to detail * Excellent communication skills * Problem solving skills * Exceptional leadership skills * Passion for a high level of customer service * High level of cash handling experience * Working knowledge of Toast system (or other POS systems)

Requirements
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in full-service restaurant management and 2 years in banquet/event management. A strong knowledge of wine and spirits, as well as experience managing seasonal staff, is also required.
