The Role Our client is an established and growing organization in Saskatoon seeking a Director, Finance to join its senior leadership team. This is a broad, operationally focused finance leadership role for someone who enjoys working closely with the business. The Director will serve as a key financial partner to senior leadership, providing insight into business performance, strengthening forecasting and management reporting, and helping improve financial and operational processes. The successful candidate will combine a strong accounting foundation with commercial acumen, FP&A capabilities and an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach. Key Responsibilities Lead financial planning, forecasting and management reporting for the business Partner closely with senior leaders across operations, sales, procurement and other functions Analyze financial and operational performance, including project profitability, margins, inventory and working capital Provide meaningful insights into results, forecasts, risks and opportunities to support business decisions Oversee core accounting and financial reporting activities, supported by an experienced finance team Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting Support budgeting, cash flow management, audit, tax and other finance-related requirements Act as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership Qualifications Approximately 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including significant experience in industry Strong background in operational finance, FP&A, business partnering and/or divisional finance leadership Solid accounting foundation with the ability to understand and oversee underlying financial reporting Experience within a project-based, manufacturing, industrial, engineering, construction or similarly operational environment is highly desirable Exposure to project accounting, percentage-of-completion accounting, inventory and/or manufacturing is an asset CPA preferred, but strong candidates without a designation will be considered Strong communicator who can build credibility with both finance and operational stakeholders Commercially minded, analytical and comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on Demonstrated ability to identify issues, challenge assumptions and improve processes This is an excellent opportunity for an operational finance leader who wants meaningful ownership of a business, direct exposure to senior leadership, and the ability to influence both financial and operational decision-making within a growing organization.
