Our Client Is a family law firm based in Oshawa Responsibilities Draft court documents, affidavits, briefs, and correspondence Prepare financial statements and financial disclosure Prepare, serve, and electronically file court materials (JSO) Manage deadlines, disclosure, and day-to-day file requirements across a full caseload Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff Provide guidance and file-management oversight to junior clerks and legal assistants Requirements 3+ years of Ontario family law clerk experience preferred Strong knowledge of Ontario family court procedures Demonstrated experience independently drafting court materials and preparing financial statements Experience with CLIO is an asset Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
What you’ll do
Draft court documents, affidavits, briefs, and correspondence; prepare financial statements and disclosure; and prepare, serve, and electronically file court materials. Manage deadlines and caseload requirements, communicate with clients and legal stakeholders, and provide file-management oversight to junior staff.
Requirements
The role prefers at least three years of Ontario family law clerk experience and strong knowledge of Ontario family court procedures. Candidates should be able to independently draft court materials and prepare financial statements; CLIO experience, strong organization, and attention to detail are assets.
