IN-HOUSE COMMERCIAL LEASING LAWYER Our Client A privately owned real estate company with a portfolio of commercial shopping plazas, development lands across Ontario, and several mixed-use residential properties Responsibilities Drafting of commercial documentation such as offers to lease, leases, lease renewals, assignments, consents, etc. Assist in the creation of legal documents to support the real estate company for both tenant matters and corporate needs Track lease documentation to completion, along with monitoring key dates in agreements and maintaining a tickler system Maintain and update the current filing system and assist in further digitizing of historical legal files Co-ordinate with the accounting team for all dates and financial information related to lease implementation Enhance and maintain a legal precedent database Manage leasing, development matters, acquisitions/dispositions, and general corporate/commercial work Act as the sole internal legal resource (external counsel currently engaged on all deals, with a goal of reducing reliance) Requirements 2+ years of commercial real estate experience as a Lawyer Strong interpersonal skills and able to think on their feet Ambitious and eager to grow within the organization

Requirements
