BLUEWATER DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION Dual Credit Support Teacher for Electrical Trades Practices Continuing education position to support dual credit students. Location: Georgian College, Owen Sound Campus Dates: September 15, 2026 to December 15, 2026 Reports to: Kathy Archer, Learning Services Administrator Salary Range : $49.92 (inclusive of holiday and vacation pay) as per Article 7.02 Duties And Responsibilities Support student success in a college-delivered dual credit course on Tuesday evenings between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Georgian College in Owen Sound; Maximum 56 hours; Assist in the selection of participating students; Work with Georgian College to provide orientation for participating students; Connect regularly with assigned students, providing the teacher an opportunity to ensure that students are meeting the academic requirements of the college course; Support student access to appropriate resources; Provide/facilitate remediation; Refer students for career counselling to secondary school staff or to college support services, if necessary or requested by the students; Prepare forms as outlined in board policy; Collect and submit data as required; Coordinate the exchange of academic progress information (marks and attendance) between the college and secondary school-level staff to support student success; and Other duties as assigned Qualifications And Experience Secondary teacher in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers Assets Special education qualifications A sound philosophy of education and knowledge in a variety of Ontario secondary curriculum areas; An understanding of teaching, learning, and assessment strategies, Growing Success, and Learning For All; Excellent leadership, administrative, and organizational skills; Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; Experience in working effectively as a team member; Experience working with students who are at-risk; Experience coordinating services; and Reliable internet access. Job Requirements Clean drivers abstract; Access to a reliable vehicle; Eligible to work in Canada; and Clean vulnerable sector police check.
