Job Summary: Blyth Academy is searching for a qualified candidate to fill an administrative support position at one of our campuses. The Campus Administrator is responsible for supporting the smooth running of the campus, working closely with the Principal and Guidance. About Blyth Academy: Blyth Academy is the largest private school by enrollment in Ontario, with campuses across the province. Blyth Academy offers students, grades 5-12, a comprehensive full-time program, as well as part-time, private, semi-private, night & weekend, summer school, and online courses. In addition, Blyth Academy offers an International Summers program and Global High School where courses are taught in truly inspirational places around the world. Our primary focus is to enhance academic achievement to prepare all students for university and beyond. Here at Blyth Academy, we tailor the curriculum to the individual student, not the other way around. By taking into account each student’s learning style and extra-curricular responsibilities, we are able to customize a plan unique to the individual. Blyth Academy follows the curriculum expectations set out by the Ontario Ministry of Education. From this academic base, we integrate student interests, experiential hands on learning activities within and beyond our walls, and an empathetic approach to teaching and learning. We have developed a strategy for incorporating literacy and numeracy across the curriculum in an effort to support the provincial mandate to improve student achievement in these essential skills. We incorporate research and evidence-based inquiry and decision making approaches in the classroom that will support students’ success in both of these critical areas. Responsibilities Acting as the first point of contact for students, parents, and the community answering phones, following up on messages, and greeting in-person visitors Monitoring attendance and calling late and absent students Entering and maintaining accurate information in databases, the Student Information System, and records Providing efficient administrative support to the campus and assisting in planning school events such as parent teacher nights, Open Houses, and info sessions Provide reporting and data analysis as required Provide support for recruitment events, info sessions, and presentations. Overseeing the smooth running of the campus managing office supplies, cleaning, and other service providers Campus HR administration including issuing teacher contracts, completing and submitting the payroll documents in a timely manner Supporting the Principal, and the Admissions Department based in the Blyth Academy Head Office in student admissions General campus administration, site management and liaison with Head Office. Requirements: College diploma or University degree preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office, and ability to quickly learn Student Information System/Databases (experience with EDSBY, Trevlac is an asset) Data Management and CRM experience is an asset Highly organized multitasker with a strong work ethic Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Flexibility and strong attention to detail Diplomatic, resilient, and adaptable to shifting priorities Empathetic and dedicated to students’ well-being Openness to diversity and willingness to effectively manage and foster a positive environment within a caring community Goal and Service Oriented – actively looks for ways to assist and implement new ideas To Apply: Interested applicants are asked to submit their application online via the Blyth Academy Careers page or by following the link below. https://www.blytheducation.com/about-us/careers This posting is for currently vacant positions.
