If you are passionate about fixing things, good with your hands, and mechanically adept, this role is for you! ___________________________________________________________ Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Preventive Maintenance (PM) Coordinator, the PM Associate is responsible for the preventive maintenance of buildings and for conducting inspections. Ensure that each PM log is completed; verify and update them. Inspect technical facilities for preventive maintenance and follow up on any anomalies. Train maintenance associates on repairs that fall within their responsibilities. Sort service calls (APS) daily, assist as needed with repairs and the completion of work, and request a plumber or contractor for preventive maintenance work if unable to perform it yourself. Perform minor repairs to plumbing, piping, and structural elements. Conduct water backflow tests and perform any necessary repairs. Ensure that contractors adhere to the work schedule and perform the work in accordance with the terms of the contract. Maintain constant communication with the EP coordinator via email (photos), phone, or in person to provide updates on projects and daily activities. Conduct monthly building inspections in accordance with the checklist requirements. Determine the materials and equipment needed to complete the project. After completion, ensure that projects meet Boardwalk’s standards. Follow up with maintenance associates regarding repairs to safety equipment such as fire doors, emergency lighting systems, etc. Ensure that associates are motivated to maintain a clean and organized work environment, including maintenance workshops. Receive all emails regarding maintenance requests from associates to ensure that follow-up is conducted as needed and to identify recurring issues in order to minimize repairs during on-call shifts. Participate in weekly meetings with the maintenance coordinator. Be available to assist project managers with troubleshooting or any repairs. Job Requirements 3 to 5 years of experience in general maintenance 5th Class Power Engineering certification for industrial boilers- a plus Technical Requirements Excellent knowledge of tools, parts, general building maintenance, and building operations Excellent knowledge of Boardwalk applications, including BOSS and BMPS Familiarity with tablets is a plus Non-Technical Requirements Ability to communicate effectively in French; English is a plus Ability to resolve technical issues as requested by the area coordinator or regional director Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills Experience handling day-to-day business operations Focused on deadlines and objectives Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, including the ability to motivate and guide colleagues in a team-oriented environment Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other colleagues Ability to foster a climate of trust and build lasting business relationships Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, as well as set work priorities for others Ability to take on new challenges and question the status quo regarding how things are done Ownership of a vehicle and a clean driving record Ability to travel Ability to participate in additional structured training ___________________________________________________________ Interested applicants are invited to submit a cover letter and resume.
