ABOUT THE ROLE As a Senior Manager, Client Delivery, you’ll lead and develop a team of R&D tax and technical delivery professionals while owning performance across client outcomes, claim quality, revenue, renewals, and portfolio profitability. This role combines people leadership, senior client advisory, and operational accountability. You’ll coach your team through complex claim decisions and audits, allocate work based on capacity and expertise, and create opportunities for people to deepen their knowledge across new industries and technologies. You’ll also strengthen client relationships, resolve delivery challenges, and ensure your team consistently produces accurate, timely, and defensible work. You’ll have meaningful influence over how Boast’s Client Delivery function grows. As the company builds its regional teams, develops deeper areas of specialization, and expands into larger and more complex client relationships, you’ll partner with Product, Sales, Pre-Sales, Finance, and senior leadership to improve the platform, strengthen delivery, and build a more scalable technology-enabled service. This role is ideal for an experienced SR&ED, R&D tax credit, or government incentives leader who wants ownership of both immediate results and the team and delivery organization Boast is building next. Salary Range: $130,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually 📍 Location: Hybrid role, ideally based in Montreal, with regular in-person collaboration approximately once per week 🗣️ Language: Professional fluency in French and English is required. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of Client Delivery professionals, supporting hiring and onboarding, setting clear expectations, providing timely feedback, and creating opportunities for people to deepen their expertise, broaden their industry exposure, and grow into future leadership roles Manage a portfolio of client accounts with ownership of successful claim delivery, client satisfaction, engagement, revenue, renewals, collections support, profitability, and long-term account health Allocate team resources across concurrent engagements, balancing capacity, specialized expertise, timelines, budgets, delivery risks, and client priorities Act as a trusted advisor by understanding each client’s R&D roadmap, business objectives, and risk profile, guiding annual claim strategy and work plans, and identifying credible opportunities across relevant tax credit and incentive programs Oversee the planning and delivery of complex claims, ensuring technical and financial work meets Boast’s quality standards and produces accurate, timely, and defensible outcomes Lead clients and delivery teams through audits and government reviews, including defence strategy, documentation preparation, government communications, and interview support Coach the team to ask effective technical questions, investigate less obvious opportunities, and develop sound, well-supported claim positions. Use quality reviews to strengthen team judgment, documentation practices, and delivery consistency Serve as a subject-matter leader for one or more service lines, remaining current on government policies, program requirements, industry developments, and evolving client needs Build trusted, long-term client relationships through proactive communication, effective workshop facilitation, meaningful in-person engagement where valuable, and confidence navigating challenging conversations Champion continuous improvement and adoption of the Boast platform, working with Product to translate client and team feedback into stronger processes, efficiencies, and product capabilities Partner with Sales and Pre-Sales on claim strategy, opportunity assessment, estimates, product demonstrations, RFP responses, and other business-development activities Contribute to the continued growth of Client Delivery by developing specialized capabilities, mentoring future leaders, strengthening regional teams, and helping Boast serve larger and more complex client relationships What You Bring Professional fluency in French and English is required 7+ years of hands-on experience in R&D tax credits or government incentives, ideally including Canadian SR&ED, in roles such as Senior SR&ED Manager, Senior Manager of R&D Tax Credits or Government Incentives, Innovation Funding Practice Lead, or a comparable advisory leadership role 4+ years of experience working in or advising clients across STEM-focused industries Significant people-management experience in a similar client advisory environment, with demonstrated success developing teams, managing performance, and creating meaningful growth opportunities A strong track record of managing complex client portfolios and concurrent claims, including accountability for client growth, renewals, account health, profitability, or business-development activities Deep knowledge of claim strategy, compliance, documentation, audits, government reviews, and delivery risk, with the technical curiosity and professional judgment to evaluate complex R&D and develop well-supported claim positions Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills, including the ability to lead workshops and communicate complex information to technical teams, executives, and other stakeholders The organizational judgment, resilience, and collaborative approach needed to manage competing priorities, resolve complex problems, improve established processes, and succeed in a technology-enabled delivery environment Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, or team collaboration Boast Benefits Comprehensive health and dental benefits package RRSP matching program Three weeks of paid vacation per year Real ownership in a senior leadership role, with meaningful influence over team development, client strategy, service quality, and the future of Boast’s Client Delivery function Continuous learning through exposure to fascinating R&D across industries, with opportunities to deepen your expertise, explore new areas of specialization, and learn directly from clients and their work A collaborative team that values curiosity, thoughtful questions, sound judgment, and people who actively share their knowledge and help others grow
