The Traffic Control Person is responsible for directing vehicle, pedestrian and construction traffic, assisting with work zone set up and monitoring changing site conditions throughout the day. This role requires strong communication, good judgement and the ability to remain alert while working outdoors in an active construction environment. Job Responsibilities Safely direct vehicle, pedestrian and construction traffic through active work zones Communicate professionally and courteously with public, coworkers and other contractors Monitor traffic flow, equipment movement and changing work zone conditions Identify and communicate potential hazards or unsafe conditions Assist with setting up and taking down work zones including signs, barricades and delineators Ensure traffic control devices remain properly positioned and effective throughout shift Qualifications Valid Class 5 driver's license with current driver's abstract required Able to work independently and maintain attention while performing repetitive tasks Clear and professional communication skills Able to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Previous traffic control or construction experience considered an asset What We Offer Competitive wages based on experience Benefits Profit sharing Company Share Ownership Program Ongoing training and development Opportunities for advancement Steady work during the construction season Many of our leaders started in field or entry level roles and we believe strongly in promoting from within.
