As our business grows, we are looking for a dependable and versatile individual to join our team in a Shipping, Receiving & Shop Support role. About The Role This is a varied, hands-on position combining shipping and receiving, computer work, local deliveries, component cleaning, and general shop support. The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically inclined, comfortable using email and computers, and willing to help wherever needed. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, label, and organize incoming materials. Prepare paperwork and coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments. Use email and basic computer programs to maintain accurate records. Package and crate equipment and components for safe transportation. Operate forklifts and overhead cranes. Complete local pickups and deliveries. Clean gearbox components following teardown. Keep shipping, warehouse, shop, and common areas clean and organized. Move and stage materials where they are needed on the shop floor. Clean machinery, equipment, and company vehicles. Cut, prepare, and deburr materials using basic shop equipment. Prepare and paint components. Assist machinists, millwrights, and other shop staff as required. Manage multiple tasks and respond to changing shop priorities. Qualifications Valid Class 5 driver’s licence. Experience using basic hand and power tools. Comfortable using email and basic computer applications. Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds. Able to stand and perform physical work for extended periods. Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Forklift, overhead-crane, shipping and receiving, warehouse, or industrial-shop experience is considered an asset. Mechanical aptitude, related work experience, or hands-on hobbies such as automotive repair, fabrication, or equipment maintenance will also be considered an asset. Working Conditions Industrial manufacturing and gearbox-refurbishment environment. Exposure to machinery, tools, oils, grease, noise, and cleaning products. Personal protective equipment is required.
