Brandt Industries Canada Ltd is currently seeking for Welders for our Regina, SK location. The Welder is responsible for performing production welding, service and repair welding, and assisting with prototype and fitter welding as required. This role performs welding duties, operates cutting equipment safely, and ensures all tasks meet production requirements. The Welder maintains equipment, accurately completes documentation, and reports any damaged materials or scrap. WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR * Weld with MIG and stick. * Operate manual or semi-automatic flame cutting equipment. * Must be able to read a tape measure accurately. * Report all damaged goods and/or scrap to supervisor. * Understand and carry out written and verbal direction. * Maintain equipment under assigned classification. * Understand material sizes and specifications of product being worked on. * Accurately fill out process sheets and accurately count numbers of piece completed. * Assist new welders if required. * Other duties as assigned. WHAT WE LOOK FOR * Must be able to understand and read blueprints and shop drawings. * Must have grasp of all hand power tools. * Must be capable of working under minimal supervision and perform all welding functions at an acceptable standard. * Valid welding certification preferred. * Experience with routine maintenance operation preferred. * Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines. * Must be able to weld product with or without jigs. * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably.
