Job details

About Brim Brim Financial is a category defining fintech, building the operating system for credit cards and payments. Our platform powers card programs for banks, credit unions, fintechs, and global brands across North America. We are a fast-growing company. We are backed by EDC Growth Equity, Epic Ventures, Vistara Growth, and Impression Ventures and have been recognized as a CB Insights Fintech 100 company and Deloitte Fast 50 and Deloitte Fast 500 winners. The Director, Rewards & Marketplace will own Brim’s rewards ecosystem end-to-end, from sourcing and closing strategic partnerships to scaling the marketplace that delivers those offers to personal and business cardholders. This is a senior, high-autonomy individual contributor role for a commercially minded dealmaker who knows the merchant, rewards, loyalty, affiliate, and commerce landscape and brings a strong network of relationships. You will identify and close partnerships with merchants, brands, and affiliate networks; structure and negotiate the economics behind each deal; and own the full commercial lifecycle from initial conversation through contracting, launch, optimization, and renewal. You'll work across revenue-share, merchant-funded offers, affiliate, interchange, and other partnership models, balancing partner value, cardholder value, and economics for Brim and our clients. This role is ideal for someone who opens doors, gets deals done, and builds durable revenue-generating partnerships. You’ll have significant ownership and a direct impact on both customer value and platform revenue. What You’ll Do Identify, source, and close high-value partnerships with merchants, brands, and affiliate networks across categories relevant to personal and business cardholders. Own the strategy, partner mix, merchandising, and evolution of Brim’s rewards marketplace to maximize cardholder engagement and commercial performance. Develop compelling commercial models across revenue share, merchant-funded offers, affiliate economics, interchange, and other partnership structures. Take partnerships from prospecting and initial negotiation through contracting, onboarding, launch, performance management, and renewal. Track performance, revenue, engagement, and partner-level economics; identify opportunities to improve the portfolio and act decisively on underperforming partnerships. Bring market intelligence, new partnership models, and innovative ideas that strengthen Brim’s competitive position and increase customer value. Build senior-level relationships across the merchant, brand, loyalty, affiliate, and commerce ecosystem and position Brim as a compelling partner. What You’ll Bring 7–10+ years of relevant experience in partnerships, business development, rewards, loyalty, marketplaces, or related commercial roles, ideally within credit cards, payments, fintech, retail, or commerce. Deep expertise in rewards and merchant ecosystems, with a demonstrated track record of building and scaling partnership programs. A strong existing network of merchant, brand, vendor, and affiliate relationships, and a history of converting those relationships into live, commercially successful programs. You know how to originate opportunities, create compelling partnership structures, negotiate complex commercial terms, and close. You understand revenue share, merchant-funded offers, affiliate models, interchange, and the economics that make partnerships sustainable and profitable. Exceptional negotiation and contract skills, with the ability to translate commercial strategy into executable agreements. You are self-directed, move quickly, create momentum, and take accountability for outcomes. You can build trust with senior external partners, influence internal stakeholders, and drive cross-functional teams toward decisions and execution. You thrive in ambiguity, challenge conventional approaches, and see opportunities where others see constraints. You use performance data and partner economics to make clear decisions about where to invest, optimize, or exit. Bonus if You Have Experience working with AI/LLMs and partnering closely with technical and product teams. Experience building rewards, loyalty, affiliate, or marketplace programs for both consumer and business audiences. What We Offer Competitive compensation and equity. Remote-first workplace (Eastern Time). Comprehensive health plan and PTO. A team that treats AI as a force multiplier, not a threat. Real ownership - you'll shape the processes and standards that drive how we deliver customer value. Other Information Remote (US/Canada ET). Compensation: CA $130,000-180,000+. Base salary range: For this role, candidates can expect a base salary range, described in the posting. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and role level. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of the range, and pay increases for those who make a big impact in the role. Vacancy status: Not a backfill. At Brim Financial, we view AI as a force multiplier in all that we do, including recruiting. In that spirit, we may use AI-enabled tools during the application screening process to assist with the review of candidate qualifications.
