Job Title - Business Analyst Job Location - Calgary, Alberta, Canada, T2P 1V8 Job Start Date - 2026-09-28 Job End Date - 2027-09-26 Number of Positions - 1 Cyber/Infrastructure Business Analyst Job Summary As an IT business analyst with our company, you’ll work with the IT department to design, create and implement the necessary technical requirements and software specifications that ensure the business side of things can run smoothly and efficiently. We’re looking for a strong communicator who can collaborate with department heads throughout the company to determine the specifications that will simplify their daily tasks. With that information in hand, you’ll turn to the IT department for the work of building our software systems to meet those specifications. If you’re a creative problem-solver with a technical mind and an eye for detail, you’re the right person to join our team. Key Responsibilities Analyze business needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system difficulties as necessary Guide and advise stakeholders in corrective steps to enhance business processes Collaborate with department leaders to create cost-effective solutions Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements Work closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff Communicate key insights and findings to team members and management Identify and resolve project issues Analyze complex business problems and determine an IT solution Gather data and analyze business and user needs Provide recommendations on hardware and software procurement to support client's business goals Coordinate the development of documentation to enable implementation and turnover of the process of system Define objectives and scope of business system Work closely with managers and end users to determine best IT solution Conduct post-project evaluation Preferred Infrastructure and cyber experience with a focus on disaster recovery for service-now Qualifications Proven work experience as a Business Analyst Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions +5 plus years of experience Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications, including Project Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong documentation skills Proficient in data analysis Experience in programming Understanding business functional areas Familiarity with business intelligence tools and experience in data visualization, consider an asset BSc degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field

Requirements
