Bottle Preparation Technician

Job Summary Goal: Ensure bottles are correctly sorted, labelled and treated with appropriate preservatives for client use in sample collection. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Label and/or dispense acid in bottles, when necessary, as per safety standards Check the accuracy of bottles sorted to the bottle order Pack bottles in coolers, ensuring sufficient packing materials and ice packs are provided as per Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations Ensure the bottle order paperwork is included in the cooler Seal cooler with packaging tape and ensure it is safe for transport Place all shipping labels on coolers as per TDG requirements Separate all coolers as per delivery requirements Ensure all coolers are clean and in good condition Maintain bottle prep area in a clean, safe and an organized manner Follow all procedures of the Bottle Preparation SOPs and Quality Control Be proactive in the identification of problems, areas of opportunity and inform the appropriate person to act upon accordingly. All other responsibilities as assigned Work Relationships: Internal: Laboratory Operations, Customer Service External: Couriers Skills: Excellent attention to detail Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best manage client disappointments Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to changes are required Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

The Bottle Preparation Technician is responsible for sorting, labeling, and treating sample bottles with preservatives while ensuring compliance with safety and transportation regulations. They must also pack coolers accurately and maintain a clean, organized workspace to support laboratory operations.

Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. The role requires the physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
