Sample Logistics Technician

- Job Title: Sample Logistics Technician Reports to (title): Sample Support Supervisor / Customer Service Supervisor Department: Sample Logistics / Customer Service Basic Purpose: What is the overall function of the job? Sample receipt, preparation of supplies and shipping related duties for all clients in support of the Sample Logistics Team. This position also includes administrative functions - Skills and Knowledge: What skills and knowledge are used to carry out job responsibilities and solve problems? High School Diploma Experience in a laboratory environment is considered an asset. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Excellent attention to detail Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best manage client disappointments Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to changes are required - Work Relationships Internal: Laboratory Operations and Customer Service External: Clients and Couriers Working Conditions: physical work environment, physical and mental effort, visual/listening attention and travel High level of work production in fast-paced lab environment Flexible working hours, overtime and shift work Changing priorities and balancing workload to meet tight deadlines Some lifting and carrying (up to 40 lbs) and may involve long periods of standing Hazardous materials are handled using established safety procedures and appropriate equipment -
