French Teacher – Burnaby North Secondary Temporary 0.93 FTE (6.5 blocks): Effective immediately to approximately March 31, 2027 As one of the largest, most progressive and diverse urban districts in the province, Burnaby provides comprehensive educational programs and services to a diverse population of 25,000 full-time and 17,000 part-time learners. The district operates 41 elementary and 8 secondary schools, plus a number of additional facilities and district programs. Burnaby School District invites applications from qualified Teachers for a temporary (0.93 fte) position at Burnaby North Secondary, teaching French (Grades 8 – 11). Required Teacher Qualifications A bachelor's degree or academic equivalent in an appropriate field of study; A relevant methodology course A valid BC Teaching Certificate Recent, successful, substantive teaching or practicum experience in the relevant grade level LANGUAGES Qualifications: A Bachelor of Arts degree or academic equivalent Demonstrated fluency and facility in English and French language Courses at the 300/400 level equal to 18 credits in French language A relevant methodology course Application Details: Your application should include your resume, cover letter, a copy of your BC Teachers' Certificate, a copy of your transcripts, a copy of your final practicum report, and a statement of your philosophy. Approximately March 2027 Salary And Benefits Salary Range: $64,318.00 to $113,240 per annum based on Teachers' Salary Grid Placement on salary scale will be determined by years of experience and qualifications in accordance collective agreement.
