Job summary

BYNK Media is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. About BYNK Media: BYNK Media is a creative agency specializing in social, influencer marketing, content production, and brand experiences. We create culturally relevant work that helps brands show up in ways that feel current, thoughtful, and impactful. Role Overview: The Senior Project Manager owns the complete lifecycle of live activations - from initial creative ideation through to final on-site execution and reporting. This role combines senior-level event execution with active team leadership. You will lead complex builds, handle client-facing technical communications, and serve as a dedicated mentor and support system for the team - answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and training BYNK Project Managers and Event Coordinators to elevate their work across all accounts. Responsibilities: Creative Ownership: Lead end-to-end concept development for all event activations from pitch to execution. Support & Elevate PM Projects: Partner directly with other Project Managers on their assigned builds when necessary, to review technical specs, troubleshoot spatial/scenic layouts, and elevate their execution quality to keep output consistent and up to standard across the board. People Leadership: Directly manage and mentor a growing team of event production professionals. Specialized Talent Management: Source, hire, and direct freelance vendors, designers and creatives to execute complex event visions. Run-of-Show & Documentation: Develop highly detailed run-of-shows, master event schedules, staffing plans, and post-event recap reporting. On-Site Leadership: Lead live activation execution - anticipating event needs, managing on-site flow, and resolving real-time troubleshooting quickly and professionally. Budget & Schedule Management: Build, track, and maintain accurate event timelines, deliverables, and event budgets using advanced spreadsheet models that can be implemented across the events team. Cross-Functional Orchestration: Act as a project lead to coordinate internal creative, strategy, and event teams alongside external partners to keep all deliverables strictly on track. Client & Stakeholder Leadership: Lead senior client communications, clarify decisions and approvals, and keep internal teams, clients, and partners aligned throughout the project. Risk, Safety & Contingency Planning: Build event-specific risk and backup plans, ensuring permits, insurance, accessibility, health and safety, and venue requirements are addressed before execution. Scope & Change Control: Identify changes early, document their budget and timing impact, and secure approval before additional work proceeds. Event Closeout & Continuous Improvement: Reconcile final costs and invoices, explain budget variances, capture lessons learned, and turn post-event findings into improvements for future activations. Qualifications: 5+ years leading technical production and high-end experiential builds in an agency environment. Deep Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of end-to-end event execution, structural builds, rigging, lighting, and AV. Proven Mentor: Track record of coaching junior/mid-level PMs into senior producers. Client & Reporting Track Record: Proven experience leading technical client communications and authoring detailed post-event production reports. Commercial & Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience managing complex event budgets, vendor negotiations, scope changes, and final cost reconciliation. Senior Client Leadership: Confident presenting technical recommendations, managing expectations, and guiding senior client stakeholders through high-pressure decisions. Reports To: Sr. Director of Events.
