The Director, Finance Transformation will play a key role in advancing CAE's finance transformation vision by translating enterprise priorities into a structured portfolio of measurable, technology-enabled improvements across the global Finance function. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this individual will serve as a strategic leader responsible for defining and driving the global Finance and enterprise transformation agenda. The role is focused on leading large-scale initiatives related to process optimization, margin improvement, cost efficiency, and digital transformation. The incumbent will oversee the global Finance transformation roadmap and project portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and delivering measurable outcomes in financial performance, efficiency, scalability, growth enablement, and innovation. As a transformation leader, this individual will foster cross-functional collaboration, lead change management and communication efforts, and support executive decision-making through high-impact initiatives and reporting. Key Responsibilities Define the global Finance transformation strategy and translate enterprise objectives and long-term business priorities into a clear and structured roadmap. Own and govern the Finance Transformation portfolio, including prioritization, investment planning, and delivery of high-impact initiatives. Establish and lead robust governance frameworks to ensure cross-functional alignment, accountability, and effective decision-making across global initiatives. Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale transformation programs, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and value realization. Champion operational excellence and process standardization across the global Finance function by leveraging continuous improvement methodologies. Lead the evaluation, selection, and deployment of strategic technologies, including automation, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics, to improve the efficiency, control, and scalability of Finance operations. Develop and execute the Finance transformation change management strategy, ensuring stakeholder engagement, adoption, and alignment across teams. Partner with senior leaders across Finance, IT, and Business Units to identify, prioritize, and execute transformation opportunities while accelerating innovation. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), value-tracking mechanisms, and reporting processes to measure transformation impact and support executive decision-making. Build organizational capability by coaching and developing Finance teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Lead post-implementation reviews to validate benefit realization, capture lessons learned, and strengthen governance and process ownership. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including senior leadership roles within Finance. Proven experience leading finance transformation programs within complex global organizations. Preferred Qualifications Strong experience in project management and continuous improvement; Six Sigma certification is considered an asset. Strategic mindset with the ability to translate organizational priorities into actionable plans, governance frameworks, and measurable outcomes. Deep expertise in digital finance technologies, automation, artificial intelligence, and analytics platforms, with the ability to assess and implement practical solutions that enhance Finance effectiveness and scalability. Significant experience in governance, stakeholder management, and executive-level influence. Demonstrated ability to build relationships, drive results, inspire creativity, and foster innovation across functions and geographies. Ability to lead through ambiguity, influence without direct authority, and align diverse stakeholder groups around common objectives. High level of resilience and ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
