⠀ Description The Simulator Technician is responsible for performing complex but standardized technical tasks related to preventive and corrective maintenance activities on simulators and associated systems. Work may be performed in the office, on-site, or in the field and may include supporting design-related activities. Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems. Assist in diagnosing and correcting issues on simulators and associated simulator systems. Diagnose and resolve routine technical issues on simulators and associated simulator systems. Utilize the maintenance management system to document and track maintenance activities. Train technicians on foundational technical skills and maintenance procedures. Complete all designated training requirements. Actively pursue ongoing professional development and technical training. Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on simulators. Perform visual alignments and adjustments. Run, evaluate, and document Qualification Test Guide (QTG) results. Assist with simulator refurbishment projects and hardware modifications. Learn and comply with the CAE Quality Management System. Provide customer support and address customer needs in a timely manner. Perform logistics-related activities, including receiving parts, coordinating repairs, and conducting testing and validation activities. Perform housekeeping activities to maintain simulator readiness and operating conditions. Complete administrative tasks as required. Support technical services activities and projects as required. Minimum Qualifications Two-year technical diploma or equivalent combination of education and related technical training. Minimum of three (3) years of direct simulator experience, including at least one (1) year of simulator experience relevant to the assigned location. Ability to troubleshoot simulator systems to the system level across multiple simulator platforms. Proficiency in the use of various testing and diagnostic equipment. Ability to interpret and utilize available diagnostic tools on multiple simulator types. Ability to perform preventive maintenance, pre-flight, and post-flight checks across the simulator fleet. Ability to perform in-depth visual adjustments and configurations on at least one visual system type. Ability to support refurbishment projects and hardware modification initiatives. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Fluency in English. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Canadian Security Clearance. Eligibility to obtain and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance. Eligibility to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or holder of a valid work permit. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in aircraft maintenance. Experience working with simulation devices and training systems. Requirements

Requires a two-year technical diploma or equivalent education and training, at least three years of direct simulator experience, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain multiple simulator platforms. Candidates must be proficient with diagnostic equipment, fluent in English, eligible for Canadian security and Controlled Goods clearances, and authorized to work in Canada; aircraft maintenance experience is preferred.
