Role Description The Catering Sales Manager is a temporary, on-site role based in Toronto, ON, responsible for driving catering business growth and maintaining strong client relationships. This role manages the full catering sales cycle, including responding to inquiries, preparing proposals, securing bookings, and coordinating event details with the kitchen and service teams. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting local businesses and organizations, conducting site or menu consultations, and ensuring clear communication regarding event requirements, dietary needs, and timelines. The Catering Sales Manager collaborates closely with operations to confirm accurate orders, oversee event logistics, and follow up with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and identify repeat business opportunities. This role also monitors sales targets, maintains accurate records, and contributes ideas to enhance Café Plenty’s catering offerings and brand presence in the community. Qualifications Strong catering sales and Food & Beverage knowledge, with experience selling and promoting catering services. Event Planning and Customer Service skills, including coordinating logistics and providing responsive, professional client support. Commitment to Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to build long-term relationships and manage client expectations effectively. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, both written and verbal. Proven organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Experience in hospitality, restaurants, or catering environments; prior sales or account management experience is an asset. Comfort working on-site in Toronto, ON, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends as event schedules require. Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM tools) and reliable eligibility to work in Canada.
