THE POSITION The primary role of this position will be to deliver brand story telling content and fan and game activations to help reach a wider audience with marketing messages and setting positive expectations of the fan experience of current and upcoming events, for the Hitmen, Wranglers and Roughnecks. This is a fixed-term position ending December 31, 2027. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * Capturing in-game moments from our fan focused activations to create “FOMO” and show the public what the value they can expect at game days for all three teams * Work with the business managers of the Hitmen, Roughnecks and Wranglers to ensure that digital media content is strategic and purposeful to drive impressions and ultimately, ticket sales and sponsorship * Work with the Business Managers as well as the sport/player focused content writers and producers to ensure the best marketing messages are included when appropriate * Lead inventive marketing activations within the community, focused on promoting brands, driving ticket sales and sponsorship, and other revenue such as jersey auctions and Hitmen Foundation fundraising. * Seeking opportunities in the community to promote our brands in unique and memorable ways, including attending big events with the street crew and gorilla marketing efforts. * Maintain and improve communication channels (e.g. web, email, social home pages), to ensure sales and marketing messages are appropriately integrated * Attend all required games to capture, edit, post, and promote appropriate content * Attending all business operations and marketing planning meetings to have an up to date understanding of our marketing and promotional efforts * Ongoing maintenance of communication channels to ensure appropriate marketing messages are emphasized, such as: * Reviewing and updating our websites on a continuous basis to ensure the information is accurate, up to date, and aligned with our marketing strategies * Ensuring our social media home pages have the current marketing campaigns highlighted (such as backgrounds and as reoccurring posts) * Working with game presentation of all teams to ensure we are leveraging opportunities to cross promote between all clubs Event Coordination * Assist with events within the Hitmen, Roughnecks and Wranglers Business Operations team (including theme game coordination, concourse activations and event logistics) * Research, recommend, and assist the Business Managers with the planning and development of current and new initiatives, theme games, promotions and marketing for the three teams to grow ticket sales, sponsorship opportunities, brand awareness and revenue * Work with Business Managers and Game Presentation on the planning and development of engaging promotions throughout the season, and liaise with Event Operations for execution when required * Support Business Managers with marketing, sponsorship, social media, game day production, and other deliverables required to execute on seasonal planning, grow ticket sales and revenue, and brand awareness * Work with the Business Managers and Communications Coordinators to develop and execute community programs for all three teams to develop new fans * Liaise with Event Operations on special events such as Teddy Bear Toss, BE BRAVE, Winter Wranglerfest, Roughneck’s turf party and other events assigned to Event Operations for execution * Support with VenueOps detailing for all activities not assigned to Event Operations for execution * Actively participate in safety programs and follow polices; * All other duties as assigned. THE INDIVIDUAL The ideal individual will have the following background: * Experience: Professional experience in a marketing-related role and/or post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. * Multitasking: Manage multiple project timelines, ensuring optimal development and timely completion of all required tasks. * Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Superior Organization and Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with keen attention to detail. * Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build effective relationships and interact professionally with internal and external key stakeholders at all levels. * Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is considered an asset. * Digital Advertising: Working knowledge to advanced skills using Meta advertising platform. * Google Products: Working knowledge to advance skills in Google Ads products is an asset. * Social Media Advertising: Understanding or working knowledge of paid social ad managers, such as X (Twitter), TikTok, Snapchat, and Reddit is an asset.
