Job Type: Casual, Full Time Position Overview Calian is seeking experienced and skilled Advanced Care Paramedics (ACPs) to facilitate access to the Alberta Health Services Virtual Opioid Dependency Program (VODP) by individuals who have been arrested or detained in Grande Prairie. Responsibilities Attend Cellblocks to assist with referrals to the VODP Administer medicine as directed by the VODP team including Intravenous medicine Assist with calls for police and or paramedic service where opioids/addiction are involved. Patrol and interact with community members to pro-actively make referrals to the VODP. Make follow-up contact with VODP clients to assist with programming and case management Provide bi-monthly metrics reports. Qualifications Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics Valid ACLS certification Experience dealing with mental health and addictions Additional Requirements Must successfully pass an enhanced security clearance AI Usage Disclosure At Calian, we do not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to screen or evaluate candidates. What you’ll do

Requirements

Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics and hold a valid ACLS certification. Experience in mental health and addictions is required, along with the ability to pass an enhanced security clearance.
