Position Overview As a Dental Hygienist at CFB Ottawa, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality oral healthcare to the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces. Working alongside skilled dentists, you’ll be a part of a close-knit team focused on supporting the health, well-being, and readiness of Canada’s military members. Looking for that work/life balance? Responsibilities Perform scaling, root planning, curettage, polishing procedures, desensitizing agents, occlusal sealants and anti-cariogenic agents Provide oral hygiene instructions, nutritional counselling and smoking cessation Conduct periodontal examinations and record clinical findings Take digital radiographs Provide administrative support such as updating patient databases, scheduling programs, and maintaining patient records Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program Registered and in good standing within the province of Ontario (CDHO) CPR Level C or BLS provider WHMIS Certification Additional Requirements Eligible to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level Compensation $43 – 46/ hour Vacancy 1 AI Usage Disclosure At Calian, we do not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to screen or evaluate candidates.
