Job Type: Full-time, contract Position Overview Responsibilities Calian ITCS is currently seeking an Intermediate Product Tester for a current contract opportunity with our government client to perform the following duties: Collaborate with the software development team to perform feature- and product-level testing. Design, execute, and maintain test cases to verify requirements and ensure product quality. Contribute to the development and execution of automated test scripts, primarily using Python. Perform manual and automated testing of applications built in C# with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation). Document and track test results, issues, and defects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Work closely with developers and business analysts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues. Participate in team reviews, including requirements and design discussions, to provide test input. Support continuous improvement of testing practices, tools, and frameworks. Qualifications Clearance: Secret (mandatory, must be eligible to apply – 10+ years living within Canada) Controlled Goods Certification (must be eligible to apply) Canadian citizen Language: English 3–5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance. Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies. Hands-on experience with test automation, preferably using Python. Familiarity with C# and WPF-based applications is an asset. Experience developing and maintaining test cases, plans, and reports. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work on-site in Calgary 2–3 days per week (hybrid model).
