Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB’s mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada. Working within the CIB’s Indigenous and Northern Infrastructure team, the Director, Investments, is an active senior member of the CIB’s investments team, responsible for leading the full lifecycle of investment opportunities in partnership with, and for the benefit of, First Nation, Métis and Inuit communities. The role includes sourcing and evaluating opportunities, conducting due diligence, structuring and executing transactions, as well as developing creative financing strategies to address financing gaps and attract private capital. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge in finance, private equity, investment banking or advisory in an infrastructure-related field. Your responsibilities include: Managing and executing investment transactions and advisory mandates across the full investment lifecycle, including feasibility and business case assessment, investment structuring, due diligence, financial modelling, negotiation, legal documentation and internal approval materials Assisting in sourcing a pipeline of potential investment opportunities by establishing and maintaining a network of contacts with Indigenous communities and the public and private sectors across Canada and the infrastructure industry Owning the integrated investment process (IIP) for assigned transactions, ensuring deliverables, timelines and cross‑functional dependencies are effectively managed Providing oversight of all due diligence work streams and ensuring investment risks are identified, assessed and clearly communicated in approval documentation Owning the legal work stream for assigned transactions, including transaction structuring and negotiation, as well as acting as the primary interface with legal advisors and transaction counterparties Managing multiple transactions simultaneously, ensuring alignment with the CIB’s mandate, risk appetite and strategic priorities Actively supporting post‑investment portfolio management by providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies and helping unlock follow‑on capital Identifying emerging sectors, technologies and market trends relevant to investment activities Overseeing and developing junior deal team members, contributing to performance management and talent development Contributing to the evolution of the CIB’s investment strategy, processes and tools in support of a growing and evolving organization The ideal profile: 10 plus years of direct infrastructure investing and project finance experience University undergraduate degree in a related field (finance, engineering, accounting or science) Master’s degree in business or finance or CFA/CPA designation, an asset Demonstrated experience and proven track record of originating and leading infrastructure and project finance investment opportunities through all aspects of the transaction cycle, including capital structuring, due diligence, management of advisors, as well as negotiation of relevant legal documentation leading to financial close Demonstrated, mandatory direct experience in infrastructure investments that benefit Indigenous communities Indigenous community membership, highly beneficial Experience developing and leading investment professionals and transaction teams as part of a high-performing environment Self-starter with strong project management skills, relationship building skills and leadership skills Strong organizational commitment, comfortable working with complexity and ambiguity, entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset Highly collaborative team player Strong written and verbal communication skills Bilingualism English/French is highly desirable We thank you for your interest. Requirements

Candidates must have 10+ years of direct infrastructure investing and project finance experience, along with a university undergraduate degree in a related field. A Master's degree or professional designation like CFA/CPA is considered an asset, as is direct experience working with Indigenous communities.
