About The Role: Canadian Blood Services is looking for a regular full-time Associate Director, Data & Analytics to join our Finance & Corporate Services division. As Associate Director, Data & Analytics, you will shape the future of finance analytics and data-driven decision-making across the organization. Reporting to the Director, Strategy & Integration, you will build and lead a high-performing analytics team while partnering with finance, technology, and business leaders to turn complex financial data into meaningful insights. This role is well suited to a strategic leader who combines strong financial expertise with analytics, governance, and technology knowledge to drive informed decisions, continuous improvement, and long-term business value. Formula for success: Drawing on your leadership and relationship-building skills, you will bring together finance, technology, and business stakeholders to align priorities, strengthen accountability, and deliver analytics solutions that support organizational decision-making. Using your expertise in finance and business analytics, you will transform financial and operational data into actionable insights, helping leaders better understand performance, costs, trends, and strategic opportunities. You will establish strong data governance, stewardship, and quality practices that improve trust in financial data and support consistent, reliable reporting across the organization. By developing predictive models, scenario analyses, and forecasting capabilities, you will help improve planning accuracy and support both strategic and operational decision-making. Leveraging your knowledge of business intelligence, data visualization, automation, and emerging technologies, you will modernize reporting capabilities and increase the value delivered through analytics. Through coaching, mentoring, and capability building, you will develop a high-performing team that embraces innovation, data literacy, continuous learning, and evidence-based decision-making. Desired Education & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional designation preferred. 8-12 years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, management reporting, analytics, data management, business intelligence, or finance transformation, with a track record of delivering enterprise-scale analytics and reporting solutions. Proven people management experience, including leading analytics, finance, or business intelligence teams, developing talent, and driving cross-functional initiatives while influencing senior leaders and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs and projects from strategy through execution and continuous improvement, including change management, prioritization, and management of multiple workstreams. Strong expertise in financial analysis, planning, reporting, data management, analytics, visualization, and business intelligence tools; experience with health-related data is highly desirable. Familiarity with modern data and technology platforms, including cloud-based analytics environments, SAP, TM1, Python, R, AI, and machine learning applications is considered an asset. Exceptional communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate effectively across diverse teams. Strategic, results-oriented leader who demonstrates integrity, adaptability, initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes under pressure. What You Can Expect This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at one of Canadian Blood Services location at least 40% of the time/2 days of the week. You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours a day. Travel to Ottawa periodically, as required, to support business initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
