What's in it for you * The best value on staff accommodation: $12.00 for a private room or $7.00 for a shared room (subject to availability) * Have fun with a tight-knit group of colleagues on and off shift * All units are fully furnished * Free HI Memberships * Free stay at other HI properties and ACC huts * Fire Pit at our staff accommodation * Use of sauna and pool table, ping pong table at the hostel * Free WIFI * 40% off in Bill Peyto’s Café * Free FAM trips * Commission * A laid-back, casual work environment that is a lot less stuffy than working in a hotel. * Employee & Family Assistance Program * What you will be doing as a housekeeping MIT: * Work as a team to maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness of the hostel. * Clean all guestrooms efficiently and effectively to ensure they are ready for check-in time. * Ensure all common areas, washrooms, showers and hallways are cleaned to our standard. * Follow the hostel cleaning schedule. * Communicate regularly with the Housekeeping Supervisor and the Night Auditor to ensure rooms are cleaned as needed. * Perform laundry duties such as collecting linens and towels, washing, folding, and putting them away. * Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor with administrative tasks You will lead by example in the Housekeeping Department and support the efficient daily housekeeping operations of then hostel by modelling our high standards in cleaning, customer service and hostel operations. The Housekeeping MIT will maintain the cleanliness of the hostel's interior and exterior while ensuring guestrooms and common areas meet high standards. They will also assist the Housekeeping Supervisor with administrative tasks and laundry operations.

Prior housekeeping experience is considered an asset, though not strictly required. Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks, work a variety of shifts, and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude.
