The Pas Closes: 2026-11-30 Overview POSITION OVERVIEW: Provides comprehensive payroll, human resources, and administrative support in an efficient, accurate, confidential and professional manner. The position is responsible for preparing and administering assigned hourly, unionized salaried and/or staff payrolls; maintaining payroll and employee records; supporting statutory, contractual and company reporting requirements; and responding to payroll inquiries. The position also supports employee communications, onboarding, recognition programs, records management, office coordination and departmental projects. The incumbent serves as a key point of contact for employees, supervisors, managers, external agencies and service providers. Responsibilities The HR & Payroll Administrator is Responsible For Develop, maintain and continuously improve administrative and payroll procedures, work priorities, follow-up systems, office processes and internal controls. Ensure assignments, documentation and departmental deadlines are completed accurately and on time. Maintain confidentiality and interact with employees, supervisors, managers, external agencies and service providers in a professional manner. Support departmental reports and special projects by gathering and verifying information, conducting research, formatting documents and ensuring the accuracy and quality of completed materials. Recommend improvements to procedures and practices and refer sensitive, unusual or unresolved matters to the appropriate supervisory official. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental plans, goals and objectives. Assist with employee and community engagement activities as part of the Administrative Team and participate in planning meetings to ensure required Human Resources tasks are completed. Maintain organized departmental filing systems and coordinate the retention, storage and authorized destruction of records in accordance with established requirements. Generate purchase requisitions and work orders in GuideTi for the Human Resources department. Provide relief coverage and general administrative support to Human Resources, other site administrative positions as operationally required. Qualifications The incumbent must possess a Grade 12 education and will possess the National Payroll Institute (NPI) Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification (PCP) or demonstrate a commitment to completing the Certification through Professional Development in a timeline as discussed with your supervisor. Completion of an appropriate post-secondary business and or administrative program is an asset.
