Cantex Mining Services LP is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Parts & Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at the LL Dam site at Highland Valley Copper. This is a key leadership role responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, managing parts procurement, and supporting a skilled crew of technicians. The Parts & Maintenance Coordinator will oversee daily maintenance operations, plan preventative maintenance schedules, manage parts ordering, and support a team of maintenance personnel. This role requires strong organizational skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Primary Duties • Supervise and support maintenance personnel. • Plan and schedule daily repairs and preventative maintenance activities. • Coordinate workflow to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency. • Review daily logbook sheets and ensure accuracy and compliance. • Perform data entry and maintain maintenance records. • Utilize Excel and maintenance management systems for tracking, reporting, and recordkeeping. • Order parts and submit purchase orders. • Support preventative maintenance planning and long-term equipment reliability initiatives. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance practices and procedures. • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and equipment life cycle management. • Strong leadership and team supervision skills. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry systems. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. • Ability to effectively plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities. • Commitment to maintaining safe and efficient work practices. Experience and Requirements • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar role. • Must be clean shaven to meet site requirements for this location. • Willingness and ability to work within site-specific safety requirements. • Valid driver's license may be required for operation of a company-supplied work truck. • All successful candidates must provide the following prior to confirmation of start date: o Pre-Access Drug Screening o Void Cheque/Direct Deposit Form o Copy of Driver’s License Work Environment • Schedule: Flexible schedule based on operational requirements, consisting of either Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts or Monday to Thursday, 12-hour shifts. • Work Location: Highland Valley Copper – LL Dam, Logan Lake, BC. • Benefits: Cantex offers a competitive benefits package, including extended health, dental, and vision coverage. • The successful candidate will supervise and work alongside a 12–15-person team including fuel, lube and service technicians, heavy duty mechanics (apprentices and red seal), and shop labourers. • A company vehicle will be provided for work-related duties, with travel to and from the worksite included. • The company vehicle may be kept at the employee's residence on scheduled days off but is not available for personal use. Please Note: This is a local hire project. Camp accommodation is not provided. Employees must reside in the region or secure their own accommodations.
