Job Title: SAS Developer Location: Mississauga, ON Experience: 5-8 Years Job Summary We are seeking a skilled SAS Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain data processing solutions using SAS. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data analysis, ETL development, reporting, and handling large datasets within banking, healthcare, insurance, or financial services domains. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and optimize SAS programs, macros, and data workflows. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using SAS. Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data validation processes. Write complex SAS queries and optimize code performance. Analyze large datasets and ensure data quality and integrity. Work closely with business users, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements. Support production deployments and troubleshoot data-related issues. Develop technical documentation, process flows, and coding standards. Participate in code reviews and performance tuning activities. Required Skills Strong experience with Base SAS, SAS Macro, SAS SQL, SAS Enterprise Guide. Hands-on experience in data manipulation, ETL development, and reporting. Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata. Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks. Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodology, and version control tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Skills Experience with SAS DI Studio, SAS Viya, or SAS Visual Analytics. Knowledge of Python, R, or other data analytics tools. Banking, Risk, Compliance, Healthcare, or Insurance domain experience. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. SAS certification is preferred. Nice-to-Have Experience in regulatory reporting, risk analytics, or fraud analytics. Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling. Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting
