POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting daily operations in our manufacturing facility for the overnight shift. This role will include overseeing production schedules, ensuring quality standards, providing leadership to employees, and helping to improve our processes through Lean principles. They will manage and play a key role in keeping our plant running safely, efficiently, and productively. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Production Leadership & Coordination: Oversee daily production activities to ensure parts are made on time and meet quality standards. Plan labour needs based on schedules, sales orders, and delivery requirements. Monitor workforce attendance, punctuality, and productivity. Maintain strong employee relations, motivation, and team performance. Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work instructions, procedures, and ISO quality standards are being followed and in accordance with company policies. Conduct annual internal audits and support Corrective and Preventative Action Report's (CAPARs). Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; enforce PPE and safety rules. Support the RTW (Return-to-Work) program and identify suitable modified duties. Continuous Improvement & Lean: Apply Lean principles to improve workflow, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency. Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with new layouts, methods, and procedures. Communicate changes clearly to the team and support documentation updates. Maintenance & Material Control Schedule and monitor routine equipment and plant maintenance. Control use of materials, tools, and supplies to reduce waste, scrap, and rework. Ensure plant openings, closings, and lock-up procedures are followed. Reporting, Planning & Communication Track labour hours, material usage, and production performance. Support planning departments with labour estimates, production hours, and cost information. Assist leadership during budget planning and discussions on equipment, staffing, and process improvements. Provide relevant labour-related information for HR and union matters. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: High school diploma or GED. 8+ years of supervisory or related manufacturing experience, preferably in a production environment. Strong leadership and communication skills. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety practices. Previous demonstrated experience to manage schedules, labour planning, and daily operations. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, or process optimization is an asset. Ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and lead teams through change. OUR WHY: We exist to move people.
