Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.Job Purpose and Impact The First Line Batching Supervisor will provide strategic operational oversight for all production operating facilities with moderate presence in multiple regions or moderate degree of complexity. In this role, you will oversee and hold operating facilities accountable to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness and financial performance. Key Accountabilities Supervise and lead the Department consisting of a Team of Operators and Material Handlers (Batchers) across all 3 shifts Follow and enforce all Food Safety (HACCP), GMP’s, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental programs Support and enforce company safety policies and programs, constantly working towards Cargill’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture Display high levels of time management skills, to be able to prioritize daily/weekly workloads Must lead by example, provide feedback as warranted, and also be receptive to feedback to further enhance yourself Monitor and ensure all product quality specifications are met Work to maximize production efficiencies #LI-SP1 Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience Lean six sigma Minimum one year of directly related work experience Preferred Qualifications 3 to 5 years of experience Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment Proven leadership ability with a focus on coaching and team development Skilled in root cause analysis, probelm-solving, and date-driven decision-making Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, Root Cause Analysis, Standard Work, Visual Management, Kaizen, and waste elimination Experience using ERP systems, production reporting systems, or SAP Experience leading CAPAs, problem-solving teams, and process improvement projects Position Details • Location: Georgetown, Ontario Relocation assistance is not provided for this role• Schedule is Monday - Friday typically from 6:30am to 3:00pm. There are also some events that will require work after normal business hours• The business will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position• The expected salary for this position is $83,000-$95,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
