Job Type: Full-Time, permanent Salary: $63,606 per annum The Gateway to Your Future To assist the Security Manager in the management of Security department and personnel, in compliance with the Provincial Gaming Commission, and other applicable municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations. Assist in maintaining good public relations with patrons and employees. Comply with safety and security standards of the corporation while orientating staff to operations and complying with pre-determined internal control procedures. The Security Shift Manager is responsible for the administration and day-to-day management of security supervisors and staff and operation of the department We Provide Full benefits package for full-time employees Retirement savings plan Exciting, supportive and fun work environment Family and friends discounts on travel, tech, food, beverage, and fitness Development and training opportunities Key Responsibilities Protect the assets of the corporation by monitoring all operations and gaming activities throughout the facility. Oversee investigations of major occurrences such as minors gaining entry, criminal acts committed on company property, breaches of integrity and occurrences subject to significant risk in terms of liability. Respond to escalated patron complaints, and major occurrences such as: fire alarms, bomb threats, and evacuation procedures strictly adhering to the policies and procedures outlined in the Departmental or Internal Control Manual. Ensures files and records (ie: key logs, visitor passes) are accounted for in accordance to Security Department policies. Monitors training strategies for supervisors and staff, ensure technical training, internal customer service training and succession planning are provided Responsible for department scheduling, administration of time off requests, payroll reconciliation and attendance management. Assist the Department Manager with the administration of the departmental budget by monitoring use of overtime, tracking of scheduled hours, managing operating expenses, etc. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Ensure staff comply with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment, proper lifting techniques and identify unsafe practices or conditions What You Bring College diploma or equivalent with focus in Law and Security, Law and Justice, Criminology or a related field. Completion of a management-training program is required. Managerial experience in gaming or related field of three (3) or more years First Aid and CPR certification.
