Job summary
CASMAN, a trusted home builder, is looking for a skilled and experienced Residential Site Superintendent to join our team for the Jasper Rebuild. As a Casman Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day construction of custom residential homes, with a focus on safety, schedules, project scope, budgets, and quality. You will play a key role in ensuring the overall success of our projects while building strong relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members. Experience in custom home construction and a commitment to quality craftsmanship are important to succeeding in this role. Qualifications To be considered for this role, you should have: 2–4 years of post-secondary education in Construction Engineering, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or a Journeyman Carpentry Certificate At least 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent Experience in custom home building Carpentry experience is preferred Commercial construction experience is considered an asset Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and industry best practices Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of residential construction from initial stakeout through project completion Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and construction activities Ensure homes are completed on time, within budget, and according to project scope and specifications Inspect completed work and ensure quality control standards are consistently met Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with building partners, team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and homeowners Identify and address issues proactively to minimize delays and maintain schedules Maintain a safe job site and ensure compliance with current occupational health and safety legislation and the established Casman HSE program Complete daily Project Hazard Assessments Participate in scheduled site safety meetings Participate in and, on occasion, lead site safety inspections Assist with incident investigations, review findings, and support the implementation of effective corrective actions to mitigate reoccurrence CASMAN’s Compensation Package Includes Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses Additional compensation and incentive opportunities for remote and commuting work Company-provided accommodations while working in Jasper Company truck and fuel card Pension matching plan Comprehensive benefits package Proven opportunities for career advancement Sponsorship for ongoing education and training Support from an established and experienced construction team This position is based in Jasper, Alberta, as part of Casman’s work supporting the Jasper Rebuild.
