Job Description Learn more about our school: Located in Ladner, British Columbia, Sacred Heart Elementary is a co-ed elementary school within the Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (CISVA). We are a faith-filled school community committed to helping every child become the best version of themselves as God intended. We are seeking a welcoming, organized, and professional School Secretary to join our school office team. This is a 0.2 FTE, one-day-per-week position (8:00am-4:00pm). The specific day of the week will be determined by the successful candidate’s availability and the school's needs. Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Welcome and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in a warm and professional manner. Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to general inquiries. Assist with student attendance and the day-to-day operation of the school office. Prepare correspondence, forms, and school communications. Maintain accurate records and filing systems. Support the Principal and school staff with a variety of administrative tasks. Perform other clerical duties as assigned. Qualifications The successful candidate will: Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Be proficient with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications. Be able to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Previous school office or administrative experience is considered an asset.
