Job summary
JOB POSTING Position: Millwright Location: Colborne, ON Reports to: Maintenance Manager, CCC Plastics CCC is seeking an experienced, motivated, and safety-conscious individual to maintain and repair all equipment associated with the operation of the plant and packaging buildings. The right candidate will be familiar with hydraulics, piping, plumbing, pumps, pneumatics, welding, compressors, water systems, and possess electrical knowledge and a troubleshooting skillset. Tools are provided. Primary Responsibilities: Maintaining a preventative maintenance program and taking corrective action, where necessary, for the Colborne facility, including upkeep of the property and buildings, in compliance with all corporate procedures and government regulatory guidelines. Providing support for all personnel involved in maintenance and production at the Colborne facility, ensuring high standards of safety, housekeeping, product quality, internal service, efficiency and cost control that are consistent with corporate objectives. Replacing/repairing/fabricating all types of mechanical and/or electrical equipment, providing practical and economical services to increase productivity, including repair/replacement of defective equipment (i.e. pumps, valves, hoses etc). Monitoring contractors’ work in compliance with health and safety regulations and corporate procedures. Keeping thorough records of all equipment inspections through CMMS and/or other documentation. The incumbent would be required to participate in our on-call program once it has been determined that he/she has developed the required knowledge of our processes. Participate in all training and meetings as required. Work safely while working on equipment by following LOTO procedures. Requirements: Minimum High School diploma, technical college diploma preferred. Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright Mechanic. Holding a Certificate of Qualification as both a Millwright and an Electrician is considered an asset but is not a requirement. 5+ years of work-related experience, preferably including the following trades: plumbing; machinery; pipe fitting; mechanical; welding. Strong knowledge of federal/provincial environmental, and health and safety legislation. Proven mechanical aptitude. Ability to interpret technical specifications and manuals. Requirements
Candidates must have a Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright Mechanic and at least 5 years of related experience in trades such as plumbing and welding. A high school diploma is required, while a technical college diploma is preferred.
