Position Title: General Laborer - Packer Location: Richmond B.C. (V6V 3C8) Starting Minimum: 19.86/hour Job Type: Full Time Permanent Position Summary: Reporting to the Production Manager, or designate, the Packer will be accountable for the proper packaging of protein products. Key Responsibilities: Inspect product for quality, vacuum seal the item and place it in appropriate customer packaging. Ensure proper weight, description, and date is recorded on the products label. Ensure packaging is sealed without tears, damage, or visual contamination. Ensure the quality of the product is up to standard and dates are correct before processing. Package products to customer specifications. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills: Willingness to work with raw meat products. Willingness to work in a cold environment. Ability to perform physical tasks requiring lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing 30+ lbs. safely and effectively. Physical fitness and stamina to sustain prolonged periods of activity, repetitive movements, and manual labor. Previous work experience is an asset but not required. Training will be provided. Candidates must be comfortable working with raw meat in a cold environment and possess the physical ability to lift 30+ lbs. Previous experience is considered an asset, but training is provided for all new hires.
