What You’ll Be Doing If you are energized by the intersection of agronomy, technology and customer success, we can’t wait to talk to you. We are looking for a Precision Ag Specialist who can lead the growth of our precision ag services, translate field data into practical recommendations and help our customers get more value from every acre. In This Role You Will Lead and expand precision ag services, including soil sampling, variable-rate prescriptions, yield and ROI analysis, spatial data, record keeping and crop scouting. Develop precision ag prospects and support on-farm sales strategies in partnership with Crop Specialists. Champion 4R Nutrient Stewardship through best management practices, data collection, training and implementation across designated hubs. Use crop studies, field trials and demonstration plots to evaluate yield, quality, soil and climate adaptation, and resistance to pests and disease. Provide agronomic recommendations related to crop production, pest management, seed technology and fertility management. Hire, train and guide seasonal Crop Scouts, and deliver precision ag training to sales staff and Branch Managers. Build trusted relationships with growers, suppliers, industry contacts and GROWMARK product divisions. Present at customer meetings, trade shows and educational events, and help position Central Ontario FS as a precision ag leader. Note: This contract is from Janualry 2027 for 13 months. What You Bring To The Table A bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related science, along with relevant agronomy experience. Three or more years of agronomy and sales experience, with knowledge of fertilizer, crop protection, seed and precision ag software. A valid CCA-ON accreditation. Strong communication, presentation, customer service, relationship-building and consultative selling skills. Proven planning, organization, problem-solving, project management and team-building abilities. Comfort learning new technology and software in a fast-moving industry. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel independently, including occasional overnight travel. Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons.
