Housekeeping Supervisor The Opportunity Are you an experienced leader with a passion for creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments? As a Housekeeping Supervisor at Chartwell, you’ll lead a team that ensures our residence is a place residents are proud to call home. You’ll oversee cleaning schedules, supplies, and team performance while delivering excellent service to residents, families, and visitors. What You’ll Do * Supervise, schedule, and train housekeeping staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service * Oversee cleaning routines for resident suites and shared areas * Monitor supplies and source quality products while staying within budget * Respond to resident and family concerns, escalating as appropriate * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and confidentiality standards * Participate in the Resident Council and support team collaboration * Provide regular feedback to the General Manager on service quality and resident satisfaction > What You’ll Bring * Secondary school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent required * Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, including hiring, training, and scheduling * Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to lead by example * Effective communication and conflict resolution skills * Computer literacy and comfort with basic operational systems * WHMIS, First Aid & CPR, and Occupational Health & Safety certification are assets * Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team > What We Offer * A warm, welcoming culture inspired by our vision of making people’s lives better, driven by our mission to create happy, healthy, and meaningful lives for our residents * Competitive compensation and benefits package * Opportunities for leadership development and career growth * A safe, inclusive workplace where you’re supported and appreciated > Additional Requirements * Must be available for flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings * Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting/carrying items * Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations * Comfortable using AI and other digital platform systems and tools to support daily work * Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
