Job summary
Overview Chenega Naswik International, LLC is seeking professional and customer-focused Access Control Officers to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Security and Emergency Management Directorate. This position plays a critical role in protecting MDA personnel, facilities, and assets by managing access control operations, screening visitors, monitoring facility security, and supporting emergency response activities. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment. This role offers the opportunity to support mission-critical government operations, interact with a diverse workforce, and contribute directly to the safety and security of MDA facilities across the enterprise. Responsibilities Control access to facilities, property, equipment, and restricted areas in accordance with established security procedures. Verify visitor identities and review required documentation prior to granting facility access. Issue visitor badges, temporary credentials, and access authorizations in accordance with established policies. Conduct security screening activities using magnetometers, x-ray equipment, and other security technologies. Ensure prohibited items are identified and properly secured prior to facility entry. Conduct routine security inspections, facility access checks, and security measures as directed. Escort authorized personnel to restricted areas when required. Monitor facilities for security concerns and report violations, suspicious activity, or security incidents to appropriate personnel. Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents and provide on-the-scene assessments to supervisors and security operations personnel. Support medical, fire, law enforcement, and emergency responders as directed. Coordinate with Security Operations Center personnel during special events and operational activities. Perform CPR, AED, and First Aid response duties as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Must possess current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Red Cross First Aid certifications. Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with employees, visitors, customers, and government personnel. Ability to follow established security procedures, policies, and operational requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting Department of Defense, Missile Defense Agency, or federal government facilities. Experience in access control, security operations, visitor management, or physical security programs. Experience using badge systems, screening technologies, or access control equipment. Experience responding to emergency situations and security incidents. Previous military, law enforcement, or security experience. . Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of access control procedures, visitor management practices, and physical security operations. Ability to operate security screening equipment and access control technologies. Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain situational awareness and identify potential security concerns. Ability to follow written procedures, instructions, and security protocols. Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard business software. Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies and stressful situations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to security compliance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic operational environment.
