POSTING TYPE: Internal & External POSITION TYPE: Term - up to 6 months HOURS OF WORK: 6.5 hours per week, as per schedule ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS DEPARTMENT Recreation and Culture HOURLY RATE $18.71 per hour POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Manager, this position is responsible for cashier duties, monitoring and control of patrons during Public Skating sessions at the Arenas; assist Arena personnel with minor facility cleaning requirements after public skate sessions, and providing assistance at Lacrosse games, special events and tournaments. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION * Attending High School or College LICENSES / CERTIFICATES * Basic First Aid (must provide proof) EXPERIENCE * Familiar with public skating routine SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS * Minimum 16 years of age * Excellent ice-skating skills * Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated excellent public relations skills * Ability to supervise children, youth and adults * Ability to deal with and direct general public CLOSING DATE Open until filled

Requirements

Candidates must be at least 16 years old, currently attending high school or college, and possess excellent ice-skating skills. A valid Basic First Aid certificate is required for this position.
