The City of Delta is looking for dynamic, creative, and energetic Dance Instructors to teach our recreational dance programs for all ages and abilities. The Leader will develop and implement quality, instructional, and engaging classes in ballet, hip hop and jazz. Other dance mediums will be considered. Programs run on a weekly basis during weekday mornings, weekday after school /evenings and weekends. Qualifications Have formal training in dance (hip hop, ballet, jazz, contemporary, and/or other styles) Have a strong teaching background and experience instructing dance to a variety of age groups Flexible, self motivated, and can take initiative with little supervision Responsible and punctual Have strong customer service skills with excellent classroom management and organizational skills Willing to work 2-4 hour shifts in Tsawwassen, Ladner, and/or North Delta Available to work evenings (starting as early as 3pm) and weekends Able to commit to two sessions (2 months in duration) of instruction Able to create lesson plans for a series of sessional lessons Must be able to pass and maintain a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) check The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $31.00 per hour + 12% in lieu of vacation, public holidays and benefits.
