Are you a Shelving Ninja? What do you want to be today? Edmonton Public Library is looking for a fun and team-oriented shelving ninja (aka Student Page) to join our League of Extraordinary Teenagers! This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and very organized neat-freak who enjoys working with the public in a challenging and fast-paced environment. What we're looking for: At EPL our mission is simple: we share! Our Student Pages are versatile, flexible people who want to make a difference in the community. They ensure that our materials are on the shelves for customers and staff to find; they use their powers and knowledge to shelve, move and search for library items. They help direct customers to the things they want, and provide good customer service. Successful completion of Grade 9 and currently attending or enrolled in Grade 10, 11 or 12 (high school). Youth 15 - 17 years old. Preference will be given to applicants who have worked or volunteered in a library. What do you need to bring to this position? Ability to provide effective customer service. Strong communication skills. Ability to contribute positively and work effectively within a team environment. Attention to detail. Ability to file alpha-numerically. Effective time management skills. Ability to use personal computers in a Windows environment. Physical Requirements: Physical requirements of the Student Page position include lifting library materials, reaching to place materials on shelves, pushing and pulling book drop bins and carts, and frequent standing, walking, and bending. Pay Band: $16.32 - $18.01 per hour Note: This position consists of varied schedules, primarily evening and weekend shifts.

Requirements
Applicants must have successfully completed Grade 9 and be currently enrolled in Grade 10, 11, or 12. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, reaching, and pushing carts, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
