The School Crossing Guard is responsible for ensuring the safe crossing of elementary school children at designated roadways. They must also document and report any traffic, weather, or safety issues to their supervisor. Candidates must have a working knowledge of traffic safety regulations and the physical ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods in all weather conditions. A Criminal Reference Check and medical clearance including vision and hearing tests are required as conditions of employment.
