The City of Iqaluit is looking for a Facilities Worker to join our team! Title: Facilities Worker Department: Recreation Status: Full Time permanent Rate of Pay: $34.25/ per hour 35 hours a week Settlement Allowance: $20,907.43 per annum Union Status: Unionized Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, the Facility Worker is responsible for establishing recreational programs through the operation and maintenance of the arena, curling rinks, ball fields, parks, and playgrounds. Required Education and Experience: Minimum Level of Education/Training: Grade 10 or Equivalent CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to obtain Minimum Level of Experience: Up to 1 year of experience performing Custodial Duties. Additional Requirements: Indigenous Language: Required Security: A Criminal Record Check is required for the position As per Article 23 of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, priority will be given to Nunavut Land Claim Beneficiaries who meet the criteria. Titre : Préposé aux installations Service : Service des loisirs Statut d’emploi : Temps plein permanent Rémunération : 34,25 $ par heure 35 heures par semaine Indemnité d’établissement : 20 907,43 $ par année Statut syndical : Syndiqué Sous la responsabilité de la personne à la coordination des installations, le préposé aux installations est responsable de mettre en place des programmes de loisirs concernant l’exploitation et l’entretien de la patinoire, des pistes de curling, des terrains de sport, des parcs et des aires de jeux. Formation et expérience requises : Niveau minimum d’études/de formation : Avoir terminé leur dixième année ou l’équivalent Être titulaire d’une certification valide de RCR et de premiers soins ou capacité à obtenir Niveau minimum d’expérience : Au moins un an d’expérience dans l’exercice d’entretien des installations Exigences supplémentaires : Langue autochtone Requise Sécurité : Une vérification du casier judiciaire est une exigence pour ce poste.
