Clean Harbors in Breslau, ON location is currently looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy diesel equipment at our facility/shop. Wage range for this permanent full-time position: $38-42/hour. This position rotation is Tuesday to Friday afternoon shift; 1 pm- 11:30pm, with the occasional opportunity to work weekends/overtime. Why work for Clean Harbors? Responsibilities Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times; Perform all required maintenance and repairs to various types of equipment, such as but not limited to tanker tailers and heavy-duty trucks; Perform maintenance which follows the manufacturer guidelines; Complete all paperwork/maintenance documentation; Ensure the shop area is kept clean, tidy and free of hazards at all times. Qualifications Journeyperson Mechanic certification (310T license) 3 + years' experience in maintaining of one or more of the following units: pickup trucks, tractors, and trailers; Familiarity with the various types of diesel engines; Ability to oversee, coach and mentor all apprentices and other shop laborers; Ability to work in a team environment.
