Holleford Homes and Reid & Siemonsen Design are looking for a detail-oriented, experienced Full-Time Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping for two growing businesses. This is an in-person position in Kingston, Ontario and is an opportunity to step into a role where your work truly matters. You'll help create accurate, reliable financial information that gives the owners confidence in their numbers and allows the businesses to make better decisions. What You'll Get to Do Your first priority will be helping us get our books cleaned up and organized. Once the cleanup work is complete, you will take ownership of the ongoing bookkeeping responsibilities and help ensure everything stays accurate and current. Your Responsibilities Will Include Cleaning up and organizing existing QuickBooks records Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for both companies Maintaining accurate records in QuickBooks and Xero Processing and managing payroll Reviewing transactions and ensuring they are properly categorized Investigating and resolving discrepancies Keeping accounts current and reconciliation work completed on time Supporting the preparation of accurate financial information for management and external accountants Creating organized, reliable bookkeeping processes that can be maintained consistently What Success Looks Like Within your first few months, you will have helped bring clarity and organization to the existing financial records. Accounts will be reconciled, outstanding issues will be identified and addressed, and both businesses will have a reliable system for keeping their books current. Over time, you will become the trusted person responsible for ensuring the day-to-day financial records are accurate, organized, and up to date. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership and doesn't wait to be told every next step. You are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable digging into the numbers to find and fix problems. You Should Have Previous bookkeeping experience in a full-cycle bookkeeping role Strong experience using QuickBooks Experience using Xero Experience completing bank and account reconciliations Payroll processing experience Experience cleaning up or correcting bookkeeping records is an asset Experience in the home services, construction, renovation, or similar industries is an asset Strong attention to detail and accuracy The ability to manage bookkeeping for more than one company Strong organizational and time-management skills The confidence to investigate discrepancies and ask questions when something doesn't look right The ability to work independently while communicating clearly with the team Ability and willingness to work in person in Kingston, Ontario Why Join Us?
