Job Summary: We are currently looking for Casual Staff who can work 5 days a week in a 24 hour x 7 day operations to work at our food production facility. Incumbent will be assigned to different work areas with general clean up duties. Previous experience in a high volume food preparation environment would be a definite asset. *Job Description:* Employees perform heavy clean up jobs on kitchen equipment, operation of trolley machine and regular clean-up of storage areas; clean-up of workplace (inside and out); transport such goods to the allocated storage area, transport heavy items such as canned goods, flour, sugar, refuse, etc. within the kitchen. *Duties and Responsibilities: * Ideal candidate will be required to perform varied duties as assigned and may include, but not limited to · Dishwashing · Mopping/sweeping of surrounding floor areas · Sanitization of work areas · Must be able to work with limited supervision. *Skills, Qualifications and Experience*: · Good command of English language and ability to read and understand instructions · Ability to lift, push, pull and move product, equipment, supplies, etc. (approximately in t the 10 to 20 pound range) · Knowledge of chemicals, sanitation tools and cleaning methods preferable · Knowledge of WHMIS, HACCP and Food Safety issues · Must be able to work in a fast paced environment · Must be available to work various shifts, including statutory holidays and weekends · Must be able to work in work areas with temperature levels between 1 and 4 degrees Celsius · Good interpersonal and communication skills Team player: ability to get along with others.
