London, ON (On-site) Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 /yr. CMLS Financial is looking for an Analyst, Real Estate Finance to join our growing Commercial Origination team. We are a fast-paced, high-volume office that works on some interesting real estate projects that shape our city and the markets that we service. In this role, the Analyst will provide support to the London, Ontario Commercial Origination team in the processing of CMHC-insured and conventional financing transactions ranging from $5 million to over $100 million. Role & Responsibilities You will provide timely and proactive support to your team including: Conduct in-depth analysis and detailed due diligence on loan applications which will facilitate credit decisions by CMLS and external Lenders, as the team acts as both a direct Lender and in an advisory capacity. Write detailed credit applications outlining the deal structure and the findings of your analysis. Review third party reports (ie appraisals, environmental reports and engineering reports, etc) to ensure compliance with internal requirements, lending guidelines and investor terms and conditions. Assist with satisfying pre-funding conditions required to fund given loans. Assist with CMLS system requirements for file administration, and loan underwriting & funding workflow Significant information gathering and dissemination to communicate with relevant internal and external stakeholders. Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals and objectives of the London Commercial Origination team. Skills & Qualifications You have completed an undergraduate degree in one of the following concentrations: finance, economics, urban land development, accounting or business administration. You have a strong understanding of financial analysis and have a passion for real estate. You are an intermediate to advanced level user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint), with a demonstrated skillset in Microsoft Excel You possess strong organizational skills with a very high attention to detail and accuracy. You take ownership of your work and demonstrate a high degree of accountability and commitment at all times. You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You are a motivated self-starter who is very results driven. You have a sense of urgency with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
